Stereo Camera for Autodesk® 3ds Max® 2017-2025
It is nice that this has been updated for 3ds Max 2017. Here is an honest review after using this in production. The good: -It is well integrated into 3ds Max and feels like a component of the program, not a script or plugin. There is an extra menu entry for stereo cameras and specific options for viewing in Stereoscopic per viewport. That is nice. -It supports Various types of cameras including Physical, Target, Free and VrayDome. -It allows you to easily visualise the Convergence plane and camera bounds. The bad: -There is no active 3D support unless you are using an ATI graphics card. This is a huge shame! -There are no clear rendering options or integration. It appears to be up to the user to work out an optimal way to render the left and right eyes. -Nitrous is not supported properly. Not all elements appear in stereo3d. For example, while viewing a scene, the shadows are not stereoscopic. The shadows will only appear in one eye, which is disappointing. Overall, this is an ok start, but pales in comparison to Maya's stereo camera or Chaosgroup's Vray Stereo Camera. It's a big shame!
Please add nvidia quadro card support!
