A propos de cette version

New Version
Our studio uses Backburner as our render queue and monitoring system. It works great for us but is in desperate need of updates for Windows + 3ds Max. We also use Octane Render, with 5 servers creating a farm, so we'd like to continue using Backburner as it suits our setup nicely. I'd love to see some GUI improvements, IPv6 support and a stable upgrade path. This software deserves to be supported!
Backburner generally is a great app, but I does not seem to support large 3D Studio Max files. (Files that are over several GB)
Would you please be able to update the app or atleast make sure it can be used with heavier data without issues.
Thank you for all the help!!
PLEASE UPDATE ! THIS VERSION DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE !!
Es una vergüenza. ¿Tan dificil es tener un renderizador de red nativo integrado en el propio software? De verdad que hay cosas que no entiendo de las empresas.
I downloaded it and the files are the same (2019 version) that I downloaded several years ago. Where is the new version?
hahaha they never updated the sw since 2001 :D
Wake up team, it's time to update this package people have been crying about for years, get with it AutoDesk.
I've been here for years asking for updates. Having a native backburner tool is essential, especially for small studios. For me the biggest deficit of the current backburner is the lack of IPV6 support and the difficulty in configuring or even submitting it within the render, it should be something simple but it seems very complicated.
autodesk PLEASE update this software. this is insane!
please make improvements and updates for this app. -Simplification of the interface and merging all three (server-monitor-manager) reguired.
-dark ui option.
Backburner doesn't work properly after maya 2019 why the hell why not update? Due to this problem, it is not possible to update to a higher version of Maya. take care of autodesk!
This program deserves improvements and updates. 1- IPV6 support. 2- Simplification of the interface. 3- Simplify the configuration. 4- Simplify the submit render.
New version just doesnt work anymore
what is the new version? we are stuck in 2019
It does not go to the next scene, but renders the same one over and over again. It hasn't been updated for 2 years !!!!!!!
have you solved your problem? me too it reboots
2020,2022,Doesn't work without updating
does backburner support 3ds max 2021 and 2022 or we are getting new updated for it
Please update! I can't get it to work anymore! Used to work great!
Hello, when will the windows version be updated?
Wauwwwww a new version :D
Are there any plans to upgrade backburner to amd64 (x64) version in order to overcome this functional limit of 2GB zip files?
For anyone having issues make sure you download the Windows version by selecting at the top of this page. By default you will download the Mac version tar.gz
I am using this tool with Maya 2018.3 on a workstation and 4 Dell Poweredge R610 with Win 10 Pro as render nodes.
Installation on Windows 10 is a piece of cake.
Most complex issue that almost mad me cry was that IPv6 protocol has to be deaktivated for each ethernet socket that wants to communicate with the manager.
Once setup it works fine and fast.
I do recommend to carry out the Backburner timeout fix from Josh_BSS in the Autodesk forums. This works around the preset 60 minutes timeout, that cuts off longer renders.
The IPv6 had me looking at other software to do this, but reverted back to Backburner as it simply works. Really wish Autodesk would update this to work without having to configure the network.
I just installed Backburner 2018 in order to use with Maya 2018. It can be quirky, but is very simple to set up and use. As far as I know, it cannot handle render layers or complicated instructions, but for me it is a good and simple render farm manager solution.
Took a little bit to find, but the mac tar.gz unpacked perfectly with archive utility and unarchiver for me.
not having the "no task metadata found" error
This zip-file doesn´t work!!!
Works for me
