Revit will automatically read and display swing direction values (Left, Right, Double, etc.) when using the Revit default Flip Controls for door instances, both when you flip the hand and facing and also if you mirror an object. 

You simply specify your own project default values for each swing direction and then assign them to all door families loaded in the project. A Swing Direction parameter is automatically created when you use the Door Swing Direction tool. When you flip a door instance the changes occur instantly, there is no need to update the objects manually. 

The Swing Direction values can be automatically displayed in door schedules. The values you specify are project specific, you can save your project values to an. XML file and load those values into other projects if desired.

The installer that ran when you downloaded this plug-in from Autodesk Exchange Apps has already installed the plug-in. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the plug-in.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer by downloading it again from Autodesk Exchange Apps, and select the 'Uninstall' button, or you can uninstall it from 'Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features' (Windows 10/11), just as you would uninstall any other application from your system.

If you use the Door Swing Direction addin for the first time in a project containing groups that include doors family instances, the groups need to be ungrouped first.

The Door Swing Direction add-in will prompt you to ungroup those groups when used for the first time in a project.

On the other hand, if groups are created in a project after the Door Swing Direction add-in has been used, all door instances in those groups will update according to the user-specific swing/flip parameter values and stay consistent throughout the project.

Performance issues can occur in projects containing many door families when image previews are automatically generated in the Swing Direction Settings dialog box.
