BIM BOQ Quantifier
Win64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
To use the BIM BOQ Quantifier, follow the steps listed below:
- Build your own Materials Catalogue or use the default one shipped with the product.
- Link Revit types to Materials with quantification formulas in the Material Assignment window.
- If desired, configure the takeoff exported types and attributes in MTO Settings window.
- Generate the materials takeoff (MTO) by clicking Generate Takeoff button.

Generate Take Off |
The user for each “Generate Take Off” has the option to do default export as per the MTO settings OR to select what to export: Walls, Roofs, Floors, Foundations, Stairs, Ceilings, Beams and Default Objects. This selection is not permanent. It extracts the Objects properties and export them to a csv file along with the BOQ: quantities, units and descriptions. |

MTO settings |
It gives the user the ability to select the Families/Types/Categories And Properties to include or exclude from the Take OFF generated report. The user’s changes and selections are saved in an XMl file and are permanent. |

Material Assignment |
This command is used to assign BOQ items from the product Catalogue (BOQ dictionary) to the Revit Components (Family*Component). It also allows to set the link formula from inside Revit. The link formula is a set of algebraic operations used by our quantifier to calculate the BOQ quantities. |
Installation/Uninstallation
The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8.1/10) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
