Axelerator is a parametric Python component library with online updates.

General Usage Instructions

To use AXELERATOR, locate and click on the AXELERATOR icon in the tab menu to launch the user interface.

Click on the updated content and restart Autodesk® AutoCAD® Plant 3D.

You will be presented with the AXELERATOR tool that allows you to filter or search for the specific component you require. Once you find the desired component, highlight it and either click the 'Insert' button or simply double-click on the component. This action will return you to your drawing, where you can now place the selected component. It's as simple and straightforward as that.

You route the pipe and then add the components by selecting the corresponding size and desired connection type from Axelerator.

Currently, there are components for DIN and ISO pipes with different connection types.

The flanged connections are both B1 and C facing even though all components are raised face (RF), essentially because some users have either B1 or C in their pipe specs. You can easily filter B1 or C in Axelerator.

Commands

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from the Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 8.1/10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

Additional Information

I've finished the installation and clicked on "Finish". What else needs to be done for AXELERATOR to operate?

The first time you open the project that you are working on after the installation, open Axelerator and click Insert on any component. The app will then ask you “Do you wish to add the Axelerator pipe specification to your project?” and you just must click Yes. The app will then link the Axelerator pipe spec to your project and you are all set.
