Description

The Kobi Toolkit for Autodesk® Civil 3D® is an advanced software add-on designed to enhance the capabilities of the Civil 3D platform, enabling civil engineering professionals to save time and improve accuracy in their design work. With eight sets of tools and over 40 individual tools, the Kobi Toolkit provides a comprehensive range of features designed to improve workflow and increase productivity across a range of Civil 3D projects.

The Kobi Toolkit includes tools for working with points, surfaces and grading, alignments, profiles, corridors, pipes, analysis, and navigation and visibility, with each set of tools providing advanced functionality and enhanced capabilities for the Civil 3D platform. The tools are designed to streamline complex design processes, automate workflows, and provide more accurate and efficient modeling and analysis of civil engineering projects.

Some of the most popular tools included in the Kobi Toolkit for Civil 3D are:

  • Utility Crossing Analysis - This tool calculates crossings between utility segments (gravity and pressure network pipes), inserts COGO points at crossing locations, and marks crossing elevation differences.

  • Pipe Editor - This tool enables you to edit multiple pipes. Use the intuitive user interface to define how pipes should behave and apply changes to the whole pipe set.

  • Structure Editor - Making changes to the structure and connected pipes is tedious in Civil 3D. This tool enables you to browse through structures with ease and edit the most important pipe and structure parameters.

  • Grading - This powerful grading functionality lets you design various spatial entities with different grading criteria allowing you to save the templates. Edit the source geometry and review the results in real time.

  • Corridor Section Editor - The Corridor Section Editor allows you to modify the corridor by editing the cross-sections in section views. It also enables linear transitions of parameters between the two stations.

  • Corridor Spreadsheet Editor - Corridor Spreadsheet Editor is a powerful corridor editing tool that allows you to edit corridors in an MS Excel-like editor. It provides possibilities for various kinds of workflows like editing regions, and targets and reconstructing corridors in new drawings.

  • Add Stations and Offsets to Points - The Station and Offset tool calculates the station and offset of selected points according to selected reference alignments. This enables the creation of report tables with station and offset data.

Note: This app uses a custom installer (and not the standard App Store installer).

About This Version

Version 2025.1.164, 9/2/2024
Supported platforms: Civil 3D 2020 – 2025 New tools added to Kobi Toolkit: - COGO Points Legend: Allows you to create a legend of COGO point markers (symbols) from the drawing. You can define the order of points in the legend and edit their descriptions. - Points Along Alignment: With this command, you can create COGO points on the selected polyline, based on the specified interval along the selected alignment. - New Grading Functionalities: New Grading components and workflows. The updated workflow allows the creation of complex grading surfaces using multiple components. - Create Multiple Corridors: You can select multiple alignments, set your corridor style, and target surface to create multiple corridors at once. The tool also allows you to join them in a single corridor. - Create Reverse Profile: The Finished Ground Profile is not automatically updated when you reverse the direction and stationing of an Alignment, but it retains the original direction. This tool allows you to reverse the Finished Ground Profile direction after the Alignment direction is reversed. - Profile Tangency Check: This command analyses the selected alignment or profile and detects and labels tangents without curves. Updated tools: - Set Multiple Part Properties: It now works on both structures and pipes. You can also define sump depth for multiple structures.
