General Usage Instructions

How to Setup Autodesk Construction Cloud® to Integrate with Riskcast

Any customer of Riskcast and Autodesk can quickly get real-time updates in cost management by capturing labor and equipment hours along with installed quantities in the field using Riskcast data. As a self-perform contractor you can use our timecard tool to update performance tracking and cost management and any customer of either company can receive these updates from the field.

Steps to connect Riskcast with ACC

1. From the Riskcast home screen, click on the Organization icon on the header toolbar, located next to the profile icon.

2. Click on the Integrations icon located along the left-hand side.

3. Click the Add button to add a new integration.

4. Choose the Autodesk integration option.

5. Here you will provide an ACC account that can be used to link Riskcast to ACC.  Click on the Setup button.  You will prompted to enter valid ACC credentials.  In addition, you will be asked to confirm that Riskcast can pull Identity and Data information.  The Identity privilege is needed to allow Riskcast to pull profile information for the purposes of authentication.  The Data privilege is needed to allow Riskcast to pull ACC project and budget data.

6. After successfully authenticating to ACC, you will be redirected to Riskcast to complete the process. From here, you can specify which Hubs (companies) and projects can be pulled into Riskcast.  Begin by clicking the Edit button next to the Riskcast company you want to link.  A popup will appear showing you a list of available ACC Hubs.  Select which ACC Hub will be linked to the Riskcast company.  Repeat this process as many times as needed to link additional companies and Hubs together.

7. Next, navigate to the Project tab to link projects.  Be sure to select the correct Riskcast company from the list of available linked companies along the left.  Click the Add button to add a new ACC project to Riskcast.  From the drop-down, select the Project to link.   After the project has been added, click the Sync button.  This will sync the project budget in ACC with Riskcast.

NOTE:  If you receive a Cost Type Validation error during the Sync, this means that the Cost Types set up in ACC for this project do not exist in Riskcast.  Please make sure all Cost Types that exist in ACC have been set up in Riskcast.

8. Save and close the Autodesk integration setup settings.  You are now ready to submit timecard labor hours and installed quantities into ACC Performance Tracking.

Timecard Usage

The Riskcast - ACC integration allows you to submit timecard labor hours and installed quantities into ACC Performance Tracking for projects that have been linked to an ACC project.  This will happen automatically during the timecard submission process.  Once a timecard has been created, filled out and approved, Riskcast will automatically submit your labor hours and installed quantities into ACC Performance Tracking.  Therefore, your flow for this will be:

1. Create a timecard in Riskcast for a linked ACC project

2. Enter hours and installed quantities onto the timecard

3. Submit and approve the timecard

4. This triggers an automatic submission of your labor hours and installed quantities into ACC Performance Tracking.  In ACC, labor hours appear under the Input Quantity column, while installed quantities appear under the Output Quantity column.
