Some prompts will have multiple functions for selecting objects and may be accessed by typing the capital letters and pressing the <Enter> key. For example, Fence, type F and <Enter> to use a fence selection. If a dialog box appears, see details for each function in the below section Settings and Options.

1. " Adds Entities to a Block"

The current block name appears in the edit box.

Pick OK to keep the same block name.

To make the block being edited unique and not update other blocks of the same name in the drawing, type a new name. and pick OK.

PROMPT: Select objects: Pick the object(s) to be added to the selected block and then press <Enter>. The prompt repeats to run the function again or press <Enter> to exit.

You may type a new block name to redefine the parent block name and pick OK.

The block is redefined with the selected entities deleted (and renamed if a new block name was entered).

Note about Block Name change: Renaming the parent block name is to prevent other blocks of the same name from being changed. This is in cases where only one block needs to change slightly from the other insertions of the same block name.

Sub-routines to use when selecting:

Multiple/Fence

If selecting multiple objects, use the “M” sub-routine by typing “M” and <Enter>.
