OneNote for Autodesk® AutoCAD® app will let you take notes alongside your drawing from within AutoCAD and these notes are backed up to the cloud and can be accessed anytime. You can see these notes the next time you open the drawing.
You can also view your notes from your OneDrive account. They should be present in the OneNote_AutoCAD notebook.

Version 1.0.0, 23.03.2021
Added 2022 support
It looks like a very interesting and useful app but unfortunately it is not available for users with a corporate account.
Love the app. Very simple - take notes and share them!
If I could change one thing, it would be to choose the notebook and section for a given drawing. For instance, I may have notebooks that are based on a specific client or project. I would prefer to just add the DWG notes page to that notebook. My workaround is simply to create a page in the project notebook with a hyperlink to the notebook used by this app.
为什么显示危害我的设备?我使用的是EDGE浏览器
This provides a good alternative to the design feed, opens up different functionality and means to track changes. Support for notebooks stored only on the local network is a must though.
Now the big question is when will their be an Revit version released? Thanks
Do we have to make MS account to use it? I have Microsoft 365 account, it does not work.
any plans for a Revit version.
Now there is Revit addin called My notebook, which allows you take simple notes inside the Revit model: https://apps.autodesk.com/RVT/en/Detail/Index?id=9195149525464401508&appLang=en&os=Win64
I need to open AutoCAD from one note, is that possible? I have sent an email to you as well. Your quick response will be really useful.
This is a great tool to keep notes. Where did all the credential for one drive stored, is it on individual machine or in drawing. Do we really need to go for one drive or cloud storage? It will be nice to have little bit details about How this app works with multiple users.
Hi Vivek! The credentials are not stored in the drawing, the prompt for credentials is from OneDrive itself, and it is similar to using the 'Keep me signed in' button on the web. The preferred way of using OneNote is using cloud-connected notebooks as that helps retain your data wherever you go, hence the choice for onedrive cloud storage. Once you are signed in, the OneNote Online at the top right (you may have to scroll) will show the signed in user. If you need to use this with another user, you will need to sign out from there and sign in as the other user. Hope that clarifies things. Thanks for the review!
2017?
Hello Lubo! The app now supports 2017, please give it a try. Thanks for the review!
Would something like this be available for Autodesk Design Review? I don't actually develop the designs but do project planning around them and this would be great add-in for Design Review.
I will surely investigate if building something like this for Autodesk Design Review is possible and let you know. Thanks for the review!
Hello Ben, I inquired about the possibility of making this available for AutoDesk Design Review, but unfortunately Design Review does not currently support building apps for it. Sorry about not being able to support your scenario.
Would love this for Inventor. Any plans to develop???
If you think this would be useful, I will make plans to develop ;) !!
the best add-in for acad
Thanks a lot Ashwin! Glad it is useful to you!
a useful application
Thanks Dieter!
This is the app I was looking for. Thank you. It is a very very useful for me.
Thanks!!
this is a wonderful Idea. We thoroughly use OneNote in our workflow and we were wondering about the possibility of a OneNote palette in Navisworks (or Revit too.) What if we could push a saved viewpoint image to OneNote?
Like Support Revit and Navisworks
Thanks a bunch for your feedback! I am currently developing a similar OneNote add-in for Navisworks, and will keep you posted!!
The OneNote plugin for Navisworks is now published to the appstore and ready for use!! You can find the plug-in here: https://apps.autodesk.com/NAVIS/en/Detail/Index?id=appstore.exchange.autodesk.com%3aonenotefornavisworks_windows64%3aen Hope this is useful to you!!
