Get Linked Project Base Point and Survey Point
Descripción
Shows the location and coordinates of the Project Base Point in a linked model.
It also works with Linked Survey Points.
This allows you to quickly check if all your models are correctly located.
----
Managing a project with multiple linked models can be a real mess. Previously, there was no easy way in Autodesk® Revit® to see if a linked model's Project Base Point was matching with your model's Project Base Point. Also, it was not possible to see a linked project's coordinates.
Now, it is possible using this tool!
You just need 2 clicks to use this add-in :
- Start the add-in (2 commands: "Get linked Project Base Point" or "Get linked Survey Point")
- Click on the desired Revit link instance
Then a marker will be placed at the location of your linked project's base point (or survey point), and its coordinates will be shown.
This works in plan views and elevation views.
Compatible with Autodesk® Revit® 2017 to 2019.
Since Revit version 2020, getting a linked project base point is a native feature, making this app obsolete (more info: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AxDQ5fs74U)
It works with Revit 2018, 2019 but not 2020. Please help
I am aware of this issue, sorry about that. Actually it is caused by a change in the Revit API with 2020.1 version. However, with Revit 2020.1, you can now directly show a Project Base Point of a linked project, as explained in this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AxDQ5fs74U ; I hope that helps.
Perfect
