With DWG™ Exporter you can export any file (or parts of large files) that can be opened in Autodesk® Navisworks® to the DWG format. When exported, the geometry of the Navisworks model is converted to DWG objects. Objects are converted either to PolylineMeshes SubDMeshes or Block References based on the selection of the geometry type.

This plugin can also convert selected data properties of the selected model items into the DWG attributes. Users can map Navisworks data properties of the selected model items to corresponding attributes, rename them, and add inside block references. Mappings are created in the Attributes tab.

The plugin has options for color and layer settings and it can use either ambient or diffuse colors of the selected model items. Users can also force it to use the colors of the geometry nodes. Layers are also created based on current settings, the user can use the current layer of the selected model items or the layer of the parents.

The plugin can export any selection of the model items into the DWG drawing. Model items to include can be selected in a number of different ways. Users can select them from the Navisworks Selection Tree, from the screen, by using buttons in the plugin panel, by using already existing selection or search sets, or by using the Navisworks basic Find Item tool.

Objects in the final DWG file are based on your selection and it doesn't matter how they are selected. As a memory rule, the plugin will create as many DWG objects as there are selected model items when the process is started.
