What is your job as a coordinator? Mindlessly clicking buttons?
We didn’t think so.
The mantra behind Sherlock is to let coordinators do what they’re good at and to leverage computers for the rest. With a few simple commands, Sherlock transforms Autodesk® Navisworks® into a high-performance coordination machine that enables instant issue identification and simple ways to communicate about them with your team.
Note: This app uses a custom installer (and not the standard App Store installer).

I use Sherlock every day, especially when I get last-minute model updates from subcontractors or design teams. The plugin is speedy and does all the work for you by grouping clashes, opening and closing them if resolved, and it all integrates into Procore if you want. Our field teams use Procore for all their construction processes which is great because we can host our central clash coordination hub on Procore for them to see everything VDC/BIM is doing (Office/Field teamwork). It is the best way to track clashes and assign them as needed. Most other solutions out there are thousands of dollars and require you to use products other than Autodesk which means doubling up your work and reteaching every time you have a new project and a new team. Sherlock is a much cheaper solution that integrates well with your current work processes and improves them significantly. If you want to stop wasting time and be more efficient: download the trial, test it out, and then buy the yearly license. It's the best deal you can get until Autodesk improves some of the dysfunctionality in Navisworks.
I have tried the new coordination plug-in from Autodesk, which I do admit, is a great tool. However, the issue of finding what is relevant, and grouping them in a way that makes logical and systematic, does not exist. That is where sherlock can reduce 10's of hours of what would otherwise be tedious and time consuming labor. The hotspot tool is amazing for early design and the export search sets, is a very convienent tool in many ways. The price may be a bit high, and a lot higher than it used to be, but I get every penny out of the time saved using this tool.
