説明
This app automatically places parts on a sheet in a material-efficient manner given sheet size & spacing using the SVGNest open-source nesting algorithm.
Features:
- Automatically lays out parts
- Starts a new sheet once the first one is full.
- Adjustable spacing between parts
- Continues to look for better solutions after the first one is found.
More details, written use instructions and the source code can be found here: https://github.com/NicoSchlueter/FuseNest
It does not appear to work with Imperial USA measurements. In the United States plywood, lumber, etc. is all in inches and feet. When you put in a standard sheet of plywood (48 in x 96 in) and change the other settings to inches it fails to nest the pieces individually, and if you try to let it compute a whole cabinet, it just runs, and runs, and runs, for hours with no results.
I REALLY wanted this to work....
So far I have found that it won't start a new sheet after the first is full. It also doesn't like hundreds of bodies. It'll just quit before starting. It seems to be ok within certain parameters, but it doesn't do what I was looking for.
I'm making a base cabinet, I thought I would save some time with this add-in. I have 12 parts that are the same thickness, some are straight parts, some have line boring and dados. I clicked "Start Nesting" 5 minutes went by, still running showing many, many "iterations." 10 minutes went by, still running, 15... Uh, I don't think it should be running this long. Let's try just 1 of the straight parts - literally a rectangle, no line boring, no dados, just a rectangle. It is set for 2 "rotations." I'm sorry, but if there are more than 2 iterations, then something is wrong. I think I will try to do something else... like either manually nest, or find another add-in because this 1 ain't working for me.
Spend few hours. Made 560 iterations for nothing.

Very Helpful!
Its a very good Addin
Works really well. This will save me loads of time. Thank you!
