Multi spur gear

Descripción

This is an add-in for Autodesk® Fusion®. Selecting multiple pitch circles, it places spur gears at the location of those pitch circles. It also automatically meshes the spur gears together.

  • Pitch circles in a meshing relationship cause the spur gears to be rotated and positioned at an angle of meshing.
  • Whenever there is a combination of pitch circles touching each other, multiple combinations can be converted to spur gears in a single operation.
  • The sketch plane for drawing pitch circles is not limited to the XY plane. Pitch circles drawn on any plane can be converted.
  • Each spur gear is created as a separate component. Therefore, it is possible to set up motion links between spur gears.
  • Gear trains can create external and internal gears.

easy to use and awesome method of just selecting a circle. works stable despite all changes and updates of the Fusion API. however, i am missing the option of different tooth profiles, for example cycloid gears. internal gears also do not work. you can use an outer gear as a negative to make an inner gear, but then the backlash would need to be negative which cannot be executed by the Add-In.

This is an extremely useful tool.  In the first day of use it solved three separate issues that I was having in one of my projects. Note:  I found it to be easier to create the gears in a separate NEW project, Save, then insert  it into the desired project.

I'd like to see a version of this that could create a timing gear/belt assembly.

  • Great Plugin

Works as shown, would like to see the add in pick up the default document units rather than keeping to metric.

Custom tooth configuration would also be a nice addition.

  • Very easy :)

I love the plugin :) It's super easy to create gers with it :) I would like to see the ability to save settings. Or you could edit or replace a gear. Currently you have to delete the gear completely and regenerate it. Of course the settings are lost :(

I've been looking for something this easy to use for a while, it's obviously still in development but what's there is good.

    keep it up

  • just missing the internal gear
Alexandre Richet | febrero 02, 2023 Descarga verificada (¿Qué es esto?)

the way it does the gears is really cool simple then it seems really well done especially for 3d printing i just wish it managed the internal gears to be able to do planetary boxes

    Thank you.

Thank you. For internal gears, a similar structure should be possible if the hole diameter is larger than the outer diameter of the gear. However, I have not been able to confirm whether the gears mesh exactly.
