Command: RENAMEBLOCK

Renames a selected block or xref (INSERT). The program asks for a new name in the dialog window. In the dialog window program paste the old name in case the user wants, for example, to set a similar name but with a different suffix or prefix.

Command: RENAMELAYER

As above but renames a layer of the selected object.

Command aliases:

The application comes with the long command names listed above. To create your own short aliases for these commands, go to ACAD.PGP file or Menu Manage->Customization->Edit aliases->Edit Aliases. Command aliases used in video example: RL for RENAMELAYER, RB for RENAMEBLOCK.
